UIUC is having our 2nd annual blockchain summit on Friday in the BIF (Business Instructional Facility). There will be panels & presentations from 9am-4pm…including 2 events from your favorite blockchain org!
1: Lunch & Project Demos
4 Illini Blockchain and a few Disruption Lab teams will be showcasing what we’ve been building. We’ve got projects that have raised $10,000s. You don’t want to miss it. Plus, there will be free lunch.
BIF auditorium from 12:30-1:30pm.
2: Why You Should (& How You Can) Jump Into Blockchain
This event has 2 parts.
In part 1, I’ll talk about why now is the perfect time to jump into blockchain, how bear markets present opportunities, how blockchain follows the same patterns as other emerging technologies, & what areas are ripe for disruption.
In part 2, we’ll have casual conversations with diverse members from Illini Blockchain who are currently working in the industry. We’ve got everything from big company SWEs to open-source Bitcoin contributors, blockchain consultants, and startup founders. Learn why we remain optimistic about blockchain, what our roles entail, and how we got started.
There’s no better opportunity to learn & meet cool people in the space.
